No bath robes, no slippers, did not change or fold the towels in 4 days. Room was not like the photo Very little milk and sugar in the room. Sometimes no refill. Felt like we had to keep asking for those basics. Had to prop open the window with a kettle as it wouldn't stay open.

    Friendly reception staff

Whilst the full English breakfast (no breakfast was included in the overnight accommodation) was first class, it was disappointing that tea or coffee were not included in the price and felt that to be charged £10 for a pot of tea for two to be unacceptable. One of the drawing points in booking this hotel was the car parking facilities that were available which I was under the impression came included in the price at the time of booking. I was a little disappointed to receive an email a few days after booking, informing me that there was a charge for parking and that it was offered on a first come, first served basis, and not guaranteed.

The room was clean and comfortable with everything you would expect to be provided. It is in a good position close to the town with easy access to the bus route if the climb back up is too much.

The floorboards in our room and outside in the corridor were extremely noisy, so was woken up a few times with guests coming back late. Room 313.

Good location for us to be able to park our car.

The hotel could do with a little attention in updating ...There was a loose floor board in corridor(covered by carpet),but every time someone walked by,it moved and therefore hit pipes, which banged in our room...Afew decorating areas upstairs to be done .. The restaurant is a large area, but it was quite cold in there to sit and eat .

The staff here are amazing, friendly, helpful and attentive.Very clean..Food was very good too.

    No complaints.

Great location. Got a parking space for £10/night, although this is not guaranteed. Hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Immaculately clean room, beds comfortable. Breakfast was very good indeed - lots of choice, a generous time window and cooked options were freshly cooked to order. Overall a painless and pleasant stay, and would certainly be very happy to stay here again on a future visit to beautiful Bath. Travelled with my grown up daughter who was also pleased with the hotel.

It's not far from the centre but it is on a hill so not as quick to get back from the centre as to get in on foot.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was nice and all in all it was good value.

Improve the coffee, Nescafé instant is very bland and tasteless for a black coffee drinker!

Location was up a steep hill, more hilly than expected, views not as good as we hoped but the breakfast was superb, generous portions and ample choices, only let down by poor coffee. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly

Hotel full of character but tired and in need of a refit. There are things that obviously need addressing, plumbing being one as water in shower wasn’t draining away whilst showering and started to leak out of the tray. On the day of check out we couldn’t shut our door properly as the screw had broken off. It seems a popular hotel so worth investing in.

Grand looking hotel with stunning views from its high view point. Parking £10 per night was a bonus. Reception, library and dining room all look beautiful. Staff were friendly and professional. Also it was my birthday on the day of arrival and I appreciated the little card and mint chocolates in our room. Lovely view over the garden.

    The car parking and location.

Lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The restaurant was very good and very reasonable. The only drawback was the very steep hill back up from the town and you need to walk as car parking is very difficult in Bath.
