The breakfast was excellent. It was served outside in a lovely garden. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the hosts left milk, water, home made rusks. The location was easy to find and close to the center of Clarens. The hostess, Mercia, was extraordinarily gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. Our stay there was the last night in S. Africa and my birthday and Mercia made it memorable!

Mt Horeb Manor has to be my favorite place to stay in South Africa. First of all it is in Clarendon, one of the cutest towns in South Africa. The location gave us spectacular mountain views from our deck. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The owner, Urshula, was very charming, friendly, and helpful.
