The property was absolutely perfect? The staff were so helpful and friendly and very, very hardworking .
Nothing was too much trouble for the chef. He was so enthusiastic about the food he was cooking and the food he served us was scrumptious!
The sun beds were plentiful, all shaded by wonderful trees. There were also hammocks and bean bags as well as little straw huts if you wanted to be in complete shade. The gardens were perfect, with staff busy working on it all day.
There were sarongs in the cabin too for guests use, a lovely touch. Every evening, the staff lit mosquito candles on our balcony, very thoughtful.
The pool was so great, with the temperature perfect.
We hired a motor bike from the top of the road, they were very helpful and very nice.
We went to a lovely street market on Saturday, it only took 3 minutes on the motor bike.
Such a lovely time, nothing negative to say about the property or staff ❤️

We were at this Hotel for about 12 days. The location is perfect. Not too far away from beach and main city on the island. You need a scooter tho cause theres no restaurant or shop near the hotel. But then again its very calm and you hear the jungle sound in the morning. :) And the hotel staff was amazing! Especially BamBam! He was treating customers with empathy and going the extra mile to meet all our needs! If its tips about events, locations or anything, he is your guy! Thanks again for that amazing stay!

This hotel is not a party place. It is for relaxation and serenity. The town is a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The pier, 7/11, bakery and many bars and restaurants. Tons of scooters which are basically the only mean of transportation if you don’t want to walk. A nice night market open nightly with good food and souvenirs. After being in Koh Samui for over a month as older people we enjoyed Thongsala because of the ease of walking to town. If you like to shop you will find hundreds of typical beach shopping. The town itself is surprisingly quite big. Definitely on top of our list for favorite beach town.

Thong Sala was our favorite city.
Thong Sala was our favorite city. Good energy, a lots of good food (a lot of vegan restaurants), markets.
Not too party and not too hippie. Was a good mix of everything and of locals and tourists.
Very good located to reach all the beaches with the scooter.

I love Thong Sala.
I love Thong Sala. Great food, bars and lots of things to do and see! They have Muaythai Chinnarach who provides the best training even if you just want to learn a new sport or keep fit! There is an english pub The Masons Arm - a friendly guy called Stephen will make you feel so welcome! Great beaches you can walk along and I love the sunsets from Becks Resort!

Clean little town with a big variety of restaurants.
Clean little town with a big variety of restaurants. Ask for Nopp - he is an amazing, flexible, affordable tour guide who feels more like a friend and takes you around the island at your own pace and wherever you want to go. He also offers bike/scooter riding lessons for you to do your own exploring on a bike/scooter. It is a popular means of transport in Thong Sala and the whole of Koh Pangan. Tho gsala is a good central point to stay , you can then hire a scooter to visit the west (yoga and wellbeing community)and north where the good beaches are (Haad Yao ,Haad salad) or travel south to Haad Rin with sunrise beach and of course the full moon Party
Great food market!.
Hiring a scooter is a must to get around ,no buses and taxis will start at the pier but getting them elsewhere is a pain and your just have to wait
Beautiful bungalow with more than everything you need, the pool was amazing, the gardens were lovely with lots of birds and butterflies
The kitchen was well equipped, the bedroom and bathroom was like being in a top hotel, the mattress is really comfortable and the pillows are like comfy clouds
The rest of the resort is lovely looking and well maintained, the main pool is really nice with a great view onto the beach
In a good location, there are a couple of good restaurants on the main road and a big supermarket 10/15 mins walk
I only spent one night here (my last night) after arriving from a 3-night stay at Haad Rin for the new year party. I was very happy that I found a room near Thongsala Pier at a reasonable price on 1st January. From Panthip Market it is only a short walk (about 5 minutes), from the city center about 10 minutes walk This Hotel is cozy and quiet, it has a small pool for refreshment and offers coffe/tee in the morning. The owner and the staff are nice and speak good English. The rooms are big and clean.
the hotel wasn’t too far into the city but not close enough ( 10 min from the pier ) , the receptionist was a sweetheart , at check in he offered graciously to take us to the pier with his own car without asking for any extra charges. we had the private room villa which was amaziiiing , I have a phobia of bugs in general but I didn’t mind any of the flies because of the quality of the room , it was truly remarkable , best hotel I’ve stayed in in Thailand hands down and super affordable!!!
Superb hospitality for the wonderful man who owns the place, nothing was too much trouble! The accommodation is really welcoming and comfortable and we really enjoyed the location, close to the night market - it was really easy to get around by scooter too, which we rented directly from the hotel. A lovely laundry place is next door too. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.
Overall it is a lovely hotel in a idyllic setting. The location is a little out but you can get a taxi for 4/500 tbh to the nearest strip or a 15 min walk. The rooms were lovely and spacious and beds comfy. The staff were really friendly but the reception staff on our stay had no knowledge of any activities in the area. The food is restaurant was excellent.
Such incredible value for money !! The hotel is positioned right on the beach, which was so quiet and peaceful. The pool was also amazing, and the food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff really attentive. Thanks for helping us with our visa :)
Would definitely recommend for budget travellers.
Location: Around 20 mins walk from Thong Sala Pier. One of the most simplistic hostels with basic facilities I have been to! We arrived some days before full moon party and were one of the only one in the hostels.
Service: The lady was super nice and honest.
Beds were super comfortable and kept neat.
A great place if not looking for a party/social hostel, ideally located in thong sala, a very short wak once you get off the ferry and close by to the night market. Babi was an amazing host and even gave us a lift to the full moon party, massive thank you.
The location was very nice. You can walk about 2 minute from Ferry, It's close to Thong Sala Pier, PHANTIP NIGHT MARKET, 7-11, Bar, restaurant, taxi stop, Motorcycle rental shop and etc. The cleaner was very nice, helpful and friendly.
The location is very nice, it’s few minutes by walk from Thong Sala pier, the area is surrounded by many restaurants, shops and bars, beach is close by. The price for separate room with private bathroom is great.
good location, big comfortable bed
hot water.
hotel staff we encountered looked nice and the grounds looked maintained and clean.
we only used it to sleep so can’t say too much about the resort facilities.
I had a very good stay on Phangan Barsay Hostel. Staff very friendly and willing to support you in anything you need. Location is one of the best, 5 min walkin from Thong Sala pier and night market.
The hotel has a very nice and well equipped beach.
The hotel owner and staff were super nice, gave us their kayak to go to a nearby island, was super cool.
The hotel restaurant is nice.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is the best where next to the the Saturday walking street market and it's about 10mins walk from Thong Sala Pier.
