It is a vibrant city rich with history and modern attractions. The food is delicious. I particularly enjoyed eating local cuisines, some were contemporary Bahraini dishes. Their culinary really upbrings the GCC's creativity into another realm. The Uber system is connected with their Taxi, so it is safe, secure and affordable. It makes it easy to go around the city. There are hardly any traffics in the city, except obviously rush hours. Though, their rush hours are not very busy, especially when staying in Manama. I will recommend to go to the Souq any time other than 12h00 to 16h00 because on those certain hours most shops are closed, yet we used to go to City Centre, Malls, or have our lunch.

I spent hours wandering through the bustling souks, marveling at the grandeur of the Al Fateh Grand Mosque, and soaking in the panoramic views from the Bahrain World Trade Center. Manama offers a captivating blend of modernity and tradition, and my accommodation.

Manama is an airy, tranquil, however expensive city.

Manama is an airy, tranquil, however expensive city. Public transport, especially buses, are rare and unreliable. You need a car to move around even short distances. Taxis are expensive. Food options are numerous and diverse. Lovely old city with the bazaar. Stunning malls. Nice see breeze.

It’s a nice place to spend a few days.

It’s a nice place to spend a few days. The Avenues Mall is our favourite. There are good eateries and it’s lovely to sit outside to eat by the water. The Grand Prix was well worth a visit and there is a great water park, and a go kart park near the circuit. I wouldn’t recommend visiting at the height of the summer because it’s too hot.

Nice area, very clean in Seef region.

Nice area, very clean in Seef region. Souq area is mostly Chinese plastic products, however there is also plenty of jewelers and fabric shops. Bahrain fort is nice but not very big and is located a short walk/Uber from Seef region (2km). Plenty of coffee shops and American chain fast foods etc. Taxis do try a few tricks by covering the meter or by not turning it on. Would recommend downloading Uber as it is much more affordable. If walking, not everywhere has good paths/sidewalks so it can be a bit difficult to walk around at times.

Stick to seef and bahrain bay hotels.

Stick to seef and bahrain bay hotels. The country is quiet and the people are great and very friendly. The traffic is an issue. The country probably has the highest nunver of malls per capita. There are many amazing whole in the wall place like banu and another japanese place in liwan mall and an amazing italian called cipriani adjacent to vida hotel marassi. The partially opened galleria mall is nice. Haus in adliya is another stand alone gem as well. A wonderfully done local concept thatvserves european dishes.

Another great stay at this hotel. Special thanks to Khalid and Liyana for taking care of my dietary requirements at restaurant. Got a chance to host some colleagues at the Urban Sky lounge this trip and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Special thanks to Ashish at the lounge. The hotel may be 4 star but the staff’s professionalism, attention and service makes it’s hospitality at 5 star level. Will definitely visit again.

Firstly, the location is great if you want to walk around to find good food nearby. Some of the best restaurants are right around the corner. In general, the hotel seems a bit dated, but the location, staff and amenities are great. What was exceptional was the management's willingness to accommodate a booking mistake. That is the most important part to me, as it shows they are committed to their guests.
