  Cleanliness, price, location & management cooperation ( Amtrak often pretends a schedule that can be off by hours. The Manager @ Stay was flexible in advance, for the possibility that the 3AM scheduled train arrival on a 25-degree night to take me home might be very late. As it was, Amtrak was only about 20 minutes late, so I did not need to return to the room @ Stay. I mailed the room key-card back to Stay as promised & would certainly consider them for my next stay in Elko. )

  Our flight left early so we didn't get to hit breakfast if it was offered. I liked that the airport shuttle left whenever you needed it, being close by the airport saved us travel time. We didn't check in til 10pm and we left at 330am to catch our 530 flight to Honolulu.

  I didn't like that they put my daughter and I far from the front desk. We had to go up to the 3rd floor and over to a building that felt like it was added on later. The floor was caving in. The other occupants were always opening their door and watching us every time we went to get snacks or drinks. It was kinda of uncomfortable but I just assumed maybe they were traveling with kids and just as nervous as I was.

  The staff was horrible. They checked us out in the middle of our stay. And told me the mistake is hard to solve because the property at the time was sold out. They told me I would have to find another place to stay. Therefore leaving My Family and our trash bag in the lobby. (The trash bag was presented to me when I asked where my things were.) This situation was resolved when I mentioned our son was Autistic and he needed something to eat. His dinner was thrown away by staff. Staff then begin to lie and say there was no food in the refrigerator. The dishonesty and the savages at the desk was the worst part about visiting Kansas City Missouri. We did enjoy the Union Station Science Museum. After I cried my eyes out in front of my son, while standing at the desk, they called the manager and she told them to check a future guest out of a different room and recheck my son and I back into that new room. The next day was my original check out date. I was happy to leave. I left with a bad taste In My mouth about the Marriott Brand. I wanted this hotel because of the brand and the reviews. All was misleading. Why didn’t they call the phone number on file when they opened my door and seen all my things inside the room? That would’ve been too much work for the savages.
